HOUSING AUTHORITY CITY OF ANACONDA Assistant Director in ANACONDA, Montana

The Anaconda Housing Authority is seeking a full time Assistant Director. This is a responsible position in which one serves as an assistant to the Director. The Assistant Director performs administrative work in directing program planning and general administrative duties pertaining to housing management as directed by the Executive Director.GENERAL DUTIES: Performs a wide variety of general office duties, including financials and bookkeeping, as well as other tasks as assigned by the Director in all phases of the Public Housing programs. Duties include cashiers work, maintains daily records of operations, banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, personnel and tax records, occupancy reports, maintenance reports, work orders, and other related items including rent calculation for tenants, rent examinations, prepares and maintains tenant files, and completes Move-ins/Move-outs/Transfers. Assists in the supervision of office staff and works with tenants and on tenant problems. Responsible for adhering to policies and procedures. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Performance of duties requires a reasonably adequate degree of skill in office administration and experience in the above-mentioned duties. Must have considerable experience with staff management, public administration, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Bookkeeping, general organization, and ability to produce new systems, policies and procedures to produce a desired outcome. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School graduation or equivalent is required. Higher education in business, public administration, finance or a related field is recommended, and/or a minimum of (3) years? of like experience. Strong communication, public relations and excellent computer skills are required. Must be PHM & Occupancy Certified or certifications must be obtained within a (2) year period (travel for training and certifications required). Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, tenants and the public.PARTICULARS: Salary: $45,000 per year with potential increase after successful completion of 90-day probationary period; request Salary and Benefit list for more information.BENEFITS: substantial Union Benefits, including Health and Pensions and more; request Salary and Benefit list for more information.
