Alloy is now becoming a full-service national construction demolition and engineering consulting powerhouse.

Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Manager to join our engineering division and to lead data management and analysis efforts. The desired candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who can provide high-level technical support on client projects involving management, analysis, visualization, and reporting of complex environmental datasets. This position will be based out of Copper's headquarters in Montana. Depending upon the candidate, experience and need, remote work is a possibility.

Essential Roles and responsibilities

  • Lead strategic efforts related to data management (including ingestion, storage, transformation, security and analytics);

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, environmental scientists, etc.) to develop and implement data workflows;

  • Design and implement features and solutions relevant to multiple aspects of data management associated with environmental remediation and treatment;

  • Track new technologies and trends in data management and their applications to the engineering and environmental industries;

  • Perform the role of a technical leader, manage projects and deliverables accurately and consistently, and perform quality assurance reviews of technical analyses and results;

  • Train and mentor junior staff; and

  • Interact with clients, teams, and IT to ensure each project's data needs are being met.

    Required Qualifications and Education Requirements

An applicable combination of education and experience in a relevant technical field or business is required, including:

  • Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering required

  • Masters Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering preferred

  • 20+ years of experience in relevant roles

  • Strong knowledge of data management, data automation techniques, and data reporting

  • Strong knowledge of appropriate programming languages (i.e. Python, R, SQL, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of traditional and cloud-based databases

  • Working knowledge of various environmental database software (i.e. EQUIS)

  • Working knowledge of SCADA software (i.e. Wonderware, FactoryTalk, ClearSCADA) preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
