GLACIER COUNTY HONEY CO Beekeeper in AUGUSTA, Montana
Temporary full-time position from 4/1/2024 to 10/31/24 Record information about crops; Direct and monitor work; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; Collect and extract honey from hives and combs; Inspect honey hives; Treat bees for disease and parasites; Ensure colonies have sufficient food; Breed queens; Build and maintain hives; Drive farm vehicle to obtain supplies, use honey extracting equipment; Use miscellaneous tools to work with honey bees; Minor upkeep on equipment and worksite operations.
