FALLON COUNTY DES % 911 Coordinator in BAKER, Montana

Open until filled. First review of applications is 03/14/2025. About the Position and Department: The DES & 911 Coordinator is the department head for our Disaster Emergency Services department. Our DES department is responsible for disaster planning and mitigation for Fallon County. This is a full-time, permanent, forty (40) hours a week position. The starting wage for this position is $27.59 per hour. Position Overview: This position serves a dual role within the County in the development and implementation of our disaster & emergency services and technical advancement of our 911 services. Prepares written pre-mitigation, emergency & disaster, and dam safety plans. Supports emergency and disaster situations by working in coordination with a variety of local, state, and federal agencies in the development and implementation of these plans. Required Education and Experience: Employment with Fallon County requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be of legal age. Preferred Education and Experience: Two (2) years previous work experience disaster and emergency planning, law enforcement, fire safety, or another emergency management field is preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Must possess or obtain a Montana driver license within thirty (30) days of employment. This position is subject to pre-employment criminal background review; will utilize a County vehicle and is subject to a motor vehicle driving history review.
