EMEDA is Seeking a Director for Fallon County Childcare Facility located in Baker, MT
About Us: The Eastern Montana Economic Development Authority (EMEDA) is the Fallon County Port Authority and actively involved in initiatives that promote economic development and community revitalization in the region. The Childcare Project began in 2019 with an understanding of the economic and social impact that available, affordable and quality childcare could have for the community, business and the region. EMEDA is a Fallon County board of seven, publicly elected Commissioners. EMEDA is an equal opportunity employer.
Role Overview: As the Director, you'll manage all operations of the childcare center, ensuring high-quality care and education. Responsibilities include staff leadership, compliance with state licensing requirement, and strong community and family engagement, while working closely with the EMEDA Commissioners.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
Lead staff recruitment, training, and management.
Maintain compliance with Montana licensing and accreditation standards.
Implement educational programs aligned with best practices.
Manage administrative duties including budgeting and financial oversight.
Foster relationships with families and community organizations.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; or progress towards a degree.
- Minimum 3 years experience in early childhood education, with leadership experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Montana state licensing requirements and accreditation standards for childcare centers.
- Be able to meet ALL Montana Childcare Licensing Rules and Regulations for administrative and teaching staff as dictated by Montana DPHHS and pass a background check.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and First Aid/CPR certification required.
