About the Role

The Business Intelligence Manager will directly supervise a team of Business Intelligence Analyst that provide specialized end to end BI support and analytics for significant business/functions and/or projects/initiatives. This individual will be considered a subject matter expert in BI and Reporting. Accountable for the development, adoption and ongoing evolution of a best-in-class reporting and/or BI capability and may deliver on ad-hoc projects as assigned.

This position will oversee the creation of BI dashboards & reports using PowerBI for internal & external client consumption (e.g., analytic tools, dashboards, reports). The Business Intelligence Manager collaborates with senior leaders and business process owners to define specific questions and develops plans to deliver meaningful insights. Data Knowledge and Preparation - Expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the business/function and ability to effectively source the information. Individual is expected to have a knowledge of broader enterprise reporting platforms and data sources and ability to integrate, or work with others to integrate data across the enterprise.
Reporting, Analytics, Data Exploration - Responsible for reporting and analysis surrounding a significant business/function and/or projects/initiatives. Oversee the tracking of key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to continuously improve the Bank's performance and understanding of its customers. Oversee the preparation of materials for updates to Executive Leadership, Senior Management, and Bank Division Executive Teams on strategy and metrics tracking product or initiative performance.
Information Delivery - Automate the delivery of a standard set of reports to support a business/function within a BI Platform. In addition, timely and effectively deliver ad-hoc reports or analyses when requested.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must completed the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by the due date.
About You


Minimum of 5 years experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/BI space required.
Minimum of 5 years experience with data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and/or QlikView required.
Minimum of 3 years of management and/or supervisory experience required.
Current or recent regional or super regional bank experience required.
Experience with SQL required.
Experience in Data Modeling, Enterprise Data Architecture, and Enterprise Data Governance Frameworks preferred.


Bachelor's degree in economics, quantitative business analysis, applied mathematics, statistics, management information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required.


Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to talk to every level, from C-level executives to front-line employees.
Track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns and conducting error/deviation analysis.
Knowledge of and experience working with complex databases.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be capable of up to 50% travel (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
