EXPLORERS ACADEMY Director of Donor Advising in BILLINGS, Montana

Our non-profit organization is looking for a Director of Donor Advising (DODA) to fundraise and help us develop and implement our capital campaign strategy. In this role, you will organize events, identify and reach out to potential donors, and build marketing campaigns that increase public awareness about our efforts. This is primarily a relationship management position, as we hope to encourage our donors to renew their support. You will also assist with grant proposals, requesting foundations or corporations to support our organization. Our ideal candidate has several years of fundraising experience and is passionate about forwarding our mission.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with the Board of Directors to create a fund development plan which increases revenues to support the strategic direction of the organizationRaise funds for our cause and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targetsResearch potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position our organization to themDevelop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure strategic plans and critical fund raising processes are carried out in a timely mannerAssist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for our organizationLeverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activitiesAssist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and executionCreate marketing materials, like flyers and brochures, to be used for the promotion of events and other fundraising pushesAnalyze the performance of events and other fundraising activities for effectiveness and to identify areas where money can be savedMaintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communicationsBuild upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships on a regular basisCollaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activitiesIs responsible for all volunteers, donations, and media relations related to fundraisersResearch grant opportunities and write and/or coordinate the writing of grant proposalsCoordinate in-kind donations and make decisions regarding the issuing of receiptsOther duties as directed by the Board of DirectorsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:A Bachelor's Degree (Preferred in communication, public relations, journalism or related/applicable area)At least one year of fundraising experienceHighly self-directed.PREFERREDTwo or more years of fundraising experienceManagerial experienceExperience and knowledge involving the business community in Billings.Grant writing experience
