St. John's Lutheran Ministries Director of Donor Relations and Annual Programs - Full-Time 1st Shift in Billings, Montana

Summary: The Director of Donor Relations and Annual Programs is responsible for originating, renewing, and strengthening constituent relationships by directing the foundation’s discovery program, annual fundraising campaigns, and other reoccurring initiatives. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: * Develop and lead annual fundraising campaigns and initiatives * Assume responsibility for identifying, qualifying, and emerging viable prospects [1] * Establish and actively manage a portfolio of new and emerging constituents * Collaboratively develop and manage integrated initiatives to originate, renew, and matriculate constituents * Design, implement, and manage protocols to track constituent activity * Conduct constituent research * Collaboratively maintain a CRM database and proactively record research findings, prospect data, constituent activity and meaningful contracts * Create and maintain a positive, proactive, and highly collaborative partnership with relations-based teams and program leaders * Adhere to, and ensure compliance with, all policies and procedures related to the engagement and development of constituent relationships * Perform other duties, as assigned by the Vice President of Mission Advancement REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Requirements: * Completion of an undergraduate degree * Previous experience with organizational donor and stakeholder relations or capacities * to learn and grow. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: * Desire to pursue self-directed activities * Leadership skills to motivate others to achieve common goals * Excellent oral and written communication skills * High level of confidence, willingness, and comfort in engaging diverse groups directly * High standard of professional ethics * Organization and planning skills * Evidence of knowledge of all St. John’s communities * Evidence of strength in following areas: oral and written communication, analytical and organizational skills, interpersonal relations, and service orientation. * Evidence of ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. * Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports * Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. * Ability to manage detail. * Highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Ability to establish and maintain relationships and partnerships
