Job Overview

Key Job Responsibilities

Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis.

Use of considerable judgement to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available, and the making of broad decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity.

Responsibility to prevent damage due to mistakes or carelessness to equipment or materials.

Working in a diverse team environment.

Any other duties as appropriate and required.

Flexibility with travel based on needs and overall company objectives.

Concentrated mental and visual attentionin laying out or otherwise performing complex work due to very close limits ofhigh accuracy and quality; or in coordinating a high degree of manual dexteritywith close visual attention for sustained periods.

Clean tools, clean equipment, paint and grease equipment as needed.

Prevent loss which may result from negligent inspection or testing; from spoilage or wastage of raw or in process materials.

Ability to safely set up equipment for repairs.

Ability to make field repairs to power train, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Must posess competent/intermediate skills with numerous welding applications and mechanical troubleshooting with diagnostic equipment.

Interpret blueprints; operate electrical power tools and pneumatic power tools as well as following a scope of work.

Considerable physical demand, continuous lifting or moving average weight to moderate weight materials and working in difficult work positions.

Ability to become:

Forklift Task Trained

Fire Extinguisher Task Trained

LOTO Task Trained

Fall Protection Task Trained

Crane Task Trained

Certified Rigging

MSHA Certified Underground

Qualifications/Requirements

Equivalent of 1 to 3 years applied trades trainingin aparticular or specialized occupation.

Over 1 year up to and including 3 years in similar job experience, isa plus.

Application of mathematics.

Abilityto interpret and understand complicated drawings, specifications, chartand tables.

Ability to usevarious types of precision measuring instruments.

Current valid CDL Class BDrivers License.

Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical job requirements.

Consistently promotes Komatsu's safety culturewhich includes but is not limited to:

Understands and complies withall established Cardinal Rules;

Working safely, promoting the safety of coworkers;

Constantlylooking for ways to improve and maintain a safe workingenvironment by completing FLRA's, Near Miss Cards, and Safety Observations.
