FUNCTION:Manages the office operations and activities of the Justice Court, including supervision of all Justice Court Clerks and Accounting Assistant in the performance of a wide variety of clerical, secretarial, legal and administrative work; does related work as required. Uses problem solving and decision making skills, facilitates personnel matters, trains, schedules, prioritizes, and evaluates the work of employees in Justice Court including the accounting dept.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Applied Supervision, Business Management or closely related field; and- One (1) years' office management experience, preferably in a legal environment; or- Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling five (5) years.CHALLENGE OF THE POSITION:- Facilitates personnel matters using mediation, training and other resources;- Determines and administers employee disciplinary action;- Initiates and facilitates on-going training issues for staff;- Plans, organizes, directs, supervises, and coordinates the clerical, secretarial and bookkeeping operations and activities of the Justice Court, including civil, criminal, citations, small claims, DUI (driving under the influence) and MIP (minors in possession) cases;- Trains, schedules, prioritizes and evaluates the work of employees in the classes of Justice Court Clerk and Accounting Assistant.Equal Opportunity Employer.
