The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and equipment operation duties involved in Street Maintenance. Incumbent is usually supervised while working and work fits an established structure or pattern. May operate heavy trucks, front-end loaders, snow plows, sander, storm sewer equipment, sweepers, landscape equipment and irrigation systems, along with other equipment.The incumbent performs a variety of physical movements and lifts 60 pounds. Work environment includes exposure to cold, heat, noise, the outdoors, dust and vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, explosive materials, mechanical hazards and electrical hazards. Work schedules could vary, but standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Must be available for shift work, on-call, stand-by and overtime.Salary: $16.37 per hour plus excellent benefitsMinimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Two years progressively responsible construction and maintenance work operating light and medium equipment and trucks.- A valid Class A Type II Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.Equal Opportunity Employer.
