Job Overview The mechanic will work directly under the supervision of a Leadperson and / or Supervisor in a shop or field environment. Key Job Responsibilities Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis. Assessing equipment repair needs and repair processes. Equipment component rebuilds and gear box rebuilds. Processing parts (inspect, clean, deem reusable or scrap). Working in a diverse team environment. Assessing equipment repair needs and repair processes. Laying out and performing repairs with accuracy and quality without supervision. Troubleshooting, maintaining and performing repairs to assigned tooling. Ability to understand scope of job and direct multiple people in completion of job. Ability to read and interpret assembly and engineering prints. Ability to drive process and/or design improvements. Work with QA/QC to develop best practices. Able to become: Forklift Task Trained Fire Extinguisher Task Trained Confined Space Task Trained LOTO Task Trained Fall Protection Task Trained Crane Task Trained Certified Rigging MSHA Certified Underground General Knowledge of mining equipment.
