CITY OF BILLINGS POLICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in BILLINGS, Montana
Police Support Specialists process all Billings Police paperwork. They perform a wide variety of specialized clerical duties including data entry and provide information and assistance to law enforcement officers, staff of other agencies and the public. Candidates must be able to work courteously with others in person and on the telephone, make independent decisions, maintain accurate records and files, maintain confidentiality of sensitive criminal justice information, and exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity and sensitivity in response to changing situations and needs. Successful applicants must possess good customer service and computer skills.Weekly Work Schedule:- Four (4) 10 hour shifts which vary by operational needs and annual bid. Shifts are 6:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., OR 8:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. OR 2:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. (additional shift differential is paid for noon and night shifts) Days off to be determined.Salary: $15.47 per hour, plus excellent benefits.Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent.- Two (2) years of related work experience.Complete application packets will be accepted on a continuous basis in order to maintain a sufficient applicant pool to fill vacancies as they occur.
