As a member of Alight Global Governance Risk, & Compliance team, this position will be responsible for all risk management for a key Federal Government client. This position will identify, measure, and manage risk, establish policies that provide management and operational controls to reduce risk and achieve regulatory compliance; generate awareness and drive engagement and adoption of new security polices and key initiatives; and assess controls to ensure they are effectively and measurably reducing risks.
Own all risk management for your assigned client and associated business areas, including identification, measurement, treatment, and management.
Own, maintain, and annually update policies, exceptions, and other governance documents, as necessary.
Work with internal stakeholders across the business to identify, assess, report, track, and remediate risks and support the development of risk mitigation strategies.
Make risk-based decisions and trade-offs impacting annual investment strategies and project prioritization.
Maintain a strong understanding of risk management methodologies and frameworks.
Understand business processes, regulations, and controls and develop meaningful tests to ensure controls are operating effectively.
Perform operational deep dives on compliance-related processes and systems.
Identify, gather, track, and report key risk indicators.
Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
Work with partners to identify root cause of issues.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers.
5+ years' experience within Risk Management, Global Business, and Auditing functions, with the ability to lead IT risk assessments and readiness activities for government customers.
Professional certifications in Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks.
Comprehensive understanding of government operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge to make recommendations for business and process improvements.
Bachelor's degree or international equivalent or equivalent work experience.
MS Office and project management skills.
Written and verbal English proficiency required.
Strong partnering, communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience of coordinating activities between multiple parties.
Strong relationship and team building skills.
Knowledge of Service Now a plus.
Interest in developing knowledge in security and interactions with various internal and external client functions.
Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001) a plus.
Position may occasionally require hours to accommodate US, EMEA & APAC time zones.
