We are a 23 bed Emergency Department averaging approximately 40,000 patients annually. We are the 1st pediatric ready hospital in the state of Montana. We are an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, stroke center and STEMI receiving center. We have an in-house rotor wing and fixed wing flight teams specializing in adult, pediatric, OB and NICU transports.

As an Emergency Department Nurse Educator you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:
Provide clinical expertise relating to the Emergency Department for patients, families as well as for a variety of health professionals.
Utilize the nursing process for each patient through the nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Assist in coordinating a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care with other members of the care team.
Provide individual and group education to patients and families. Provide accurate assessments of a patient's physical and emotional status, identify learning needs and any unique special requirements needed to facilitate a positive learning environment for the patient and patient support/family.
Provide education, both formal and informal, for patients, families, members of the health care team and the community in specialty area.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Montana RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Montana RN license
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience and two (2) years of previous formal education activities
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Membership in professional organization
