The Senior Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Works closely with team members, other architects and leads and make sure that team follows adheres to standards and follows guidelines. Research complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components and fixes. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Participates in discussions in estimating the time and budget needs for execution of projects.
This role contributes to the ongoing evolution of the existing portfolio of home grown and external applications and services by designing, developing, modifying, implementing, and supporting software components throughout the software stack.
Contribute across the technology stack, from .Net framework, database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to developing native apps.
Use agile engineering practices and various software and web development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient solutions. Collaborate with other agile team members to craft clear user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and continuously deliver product outcomes.
Work with cross functional teams, assist QA specialists, product owners to deliver a robust product.
Demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of software design, algorithm development, data structures, code modularity, and maintainability
Ability to gather feature requirements and develop technical specification
Able to debug real-time production issues
5+ years' experience in .NET framework with C#
Ability to define DB schemas, write lean stored procedures.
Work experience in windows web services, including but not limited to WPS and WCS
Agile SCRUM Methodology
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Experience working with SQL Server
Advanced functions, SSIS - automated packages for gathering data from other sources
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of user-centered design and user interface skills
Experience with project management methodologies and system development life cycles
Experience in healthcare industry
