C&B Equipment Service Technician - Diesel Fuel Injection Pumps in Billings, Montana
C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations, has an opening for a Service Technician at Signature Fuel in Billings, MT. Signature Fuel repairs and rebuilds diesel fuel injection pumps and is a full service inspection shop handling all of our customer's diesel injection needs. A service technician independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on any injection pump or injector issues.
Essential Duties:
- Performs diagnostics and repairs on diesel injection systems
- Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
- Maintains current product knowledge
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Promote and sell the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts to increase customer satisfaction
- Delivers parts, run errands, etc. as needed
- Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians
- Follows all safety procedures and guidelines, and works in a safe manner
- Willing to train
- Demonstrated work experience of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in diesel injection repair-preferred
- Ability to use computer and basic computer applications
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Diesel Technology degree preferred
