UFP Industries, Inc. Maintenance Supervisor in Bonner-West Riverside, Montana

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the management of the
plant's maintenance function and programs. Relies on experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals; some creativity and latitude is
expected; works under the supervision of a Plant Manager.

\* Interviews, hires, orientates and trains maintenance personnel.

\*Coach and counsel employees, initiates discipline as required.

\*Evaluates performance of subordinates.

\*Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to
ensure proper equipment operation.

\*Identifies, researches and resolves problems.

\*Coordinates maintenance activities with operating department's
requirements.

\*Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

\*Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, and
including lift trucks, tools and buildings.

\*Develops, implements and supervises the plant's Preventive Maintenance
program

\*Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings and other Company assets in
accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, manufacturing
specifications, or by management request.

\*Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and
rates.

\*Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company
policy.

\*Prepares other reports as required.

\*Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and
procedures.

\*Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge

\*Post high school education is required

\*Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance
area; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people.

\*Strong working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and control
technology, and welding.

\*Strong working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable
laws, rules and regulations.

\*Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous
material handling procedures and practices

\*Strong working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring
instruments, and other hand tools.

\*Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other business
software.

\*Preferred understanding on company policies, practices and
procedures.

Skills and abilities

\*Demonstrates ability to handle responsibility and be accountable for
actions/decisions

\*Demonstrates ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams and
operating manuals.

\*Ability to recognize safe vs. unsafe working conditions

\*Ability to clearly communicate directions and expectations

\*Ability to plan, and organize the work of others, determine
priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure and stress.

\*Ability to identify problems and find viable solutions

\*Ability to understand and use basic math and numbers, and to use a
computer, calculator, and telephone.

\*Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in
English; ability read and write basic English

\*Ability to communicate with management regarding people, products and
equipment

\*Ability to perform mathematical computations, write legibly, maintain
records, give and follow oral and written instructions

\*Ability to manage personnel and address staffing needs, and to
organize the work of others.

\*Ability to be mobile in the work environment

\*Ability to pass a drug test

\*Ability to work hours mandated by management
