State of Montana Quality and Information Specialist in Boulder, Montana

* *The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Intensive Behavior Center. The Intensive behavior Center (IBC) is an intensive, short-term treatment facility for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illnesses. IBC provides an environment for building healthy, effective, and fulfilling lives so those receiving treatment can live successfully in the community after discharge. The Quality and Information Specialist participates as a member of the quality management team and oversees Therap Services (web-based record keeping system) and its software suite, which includes online documentation, reporting, and communication including modules (progress notes, incident reports, Medication Administration Records (MAR), utilization reports, etc.). This position’s responsibilities include quality assurance of online documentation, researching, developing, and implementing new Therap modules; and presenting training to staff including documentation, database, and software training. This position also assists the Quality Assurance Manager with ensuring conformance to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and facility policy. Responsibilities include providing quality activities for the entire facility; monitoring, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes and programs that meet regulatory, accreditation, and standards of practice. This position is integral to data collection, data input and data analysis. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * General knowledge of business and database management principles and practices. * Incident management and quality assurance knowledge. * Effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and collaboration skills. * Ability to recognize sensitive issues when evaluating data and ability to review information to determine compliance with standards. * Meet minimum qualifications: o High School or equivalent and two years job-related college education or completion of vocational education. o Two years of job-related work experience (database management, developing and presenting training, providing technical software & database support, adult education techniques). o Experience will be accepted to replace required college or vocational education on a year for year basis as long as qualification of work experience is met. o Other directly related combinations of education/experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. o Preferred certification as a Certified Therap Services Trainer or willing to become certified if requested by facility administrator. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
