The starting wage depends on education and experience. The starting wage for someone with no Registrar experience is as follows:

-Bachelor's degree starts at $19.46 (0 years of experience) up to $23.73 (10 years of experience)

-Master's degree starts at $21.41 (0 years of experience) up to $26.10 (10 years of experience)

*JOB SUMMARY: * Stone Child College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Registrar. The Registrar will play a vital role in managing student records, ensuring compliance with academic policies and regulations, and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff. This position reports to the Dean of Student Services.

*JOB DUTIES: * Student Records Management and Reporting: • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date student records using the EMPOWER student information system. • Manage the registration process, including course scheduling, enrollment, and withdrawals. • Maintain confidentiality and security of student records in accordance with FERPA regulations. • Manage the Indian Student Count reports to the BIE (Bureau of Indian Education), AIMS/AKIS reports to AIHEC (American Indian Higher Education Consortium), and the IPEDS reporting to NCES (National Center for Education Statistics). Academic Policy Compliance: • Interpret and enforce academic policies and procedures as outlined in the college catalog, the Student Handbook, and the SCC Policies & Procedures. • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards related to student records and academic processes. • Collaborate with academic departments to implement policies related to grading, academic standing, and graduation requirements. Degree Audits and Graduation Processing: • Conduct degree audits to verify completion of graduation requirements for students. • Coordinate graduation ceremonies and process graduation applications. • Prepare and distribute official transcripts and diplomas to students and alumni. Course Management and Scheduling: • Collaborate with academic departments to develop course schedules each semester. • Coordinate classroom assignments and scheduling adjustments as needed. • Monitor enrollment trends and recommend adjustments to course offerings based on student demand.

*Student Services Support: * • Provide guidance and support to students regarding registration, academic policies, and procedures. • Assist with academic advising and course selection as needed. • Serve as a resource for faculty and staff on matters related to student records and academic policies. Technology and System Administration: • Serve as the primary administrator for the EMPOWER student information system. • Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and students on the use of the system. • Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot technical issues and implement system upgrades.

*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, in a related field such as education, higher education administration, or information management. •Previous experience working in a registrar's office or similar academic administrative role preferred. • Familiarity with EMPOWER or similar student information systems is highly desirable. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data-entry. • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel and the functionalities of the software in the data entry process, analysis of data, preparation of reports, and the storage of source data. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize responsibili ies in a fast-paced environment.
