Duties and Responsibilities

The new faculty member will teach required and elective courses in the undergraduate and graduate managerial accounting and business programs, advise students, conduct scholarly research, and provide college and university service and engagement. A normal teaching load is 6-9 credit hours per semester.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree with emphasis in Accounting or a closely related field by start date.

  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in managerial accounting. Preference will be provided to candidates who are also able to teach in tax, financial, or governmental accounting.

  • For assistant professor rank, potential to carry on a successful program of scholarly research resulting in publication in respected peer-reviewed journals. For associate professor rank, demonstrated ability to publish in respected peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience teaching upper level and graduate accounting courses.

  • Deep knowledge of data analytics

  • Demonstrated experience in integrating data analytics into course materials.

  • Ability to teach in more than one accounting area.

  • Record of refereed publications.

  • Professional experience and/or certification.
