General Statement
Following an integrated, collaborative model, University Health Partners unites the components of the health and well-being for MSU students including prevention, health promotion, public health, medical services, dental services, recreational sports and fitness, and counseling & psychological services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Functions as a clinical registered dietitian nutritionist providing medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling (primary and preventative) to MSU students.
Coordinates care and facilitates referrals to other members of the healthcare team and higher levels of care when necessary.
Collaborates with Medical Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Office of Health Advancement staff, and Dean of Students Office using interdisciplinary treatment approach for students with a variety of medical concerns.
Participates as a member of our on campus eating disorder team.
Partner and consult with campus dining services to provide support with menu planning, promotional/orientation activities and outreach to students with nutrition concerns.
Develop and present nutrition education programs for classes, residence halls and student organizations using a variety of instructional methods and communications media.
Collaborate with Health Promotion staff on departmental and interdisciplinary projects.
Coordinate nutritional programming and related activities with various campus departments.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist ( RDN ). This requires a bachelor’s degree, a dietetic internship, and passing of the national exam through CDR . Continuing Education hours are required. This individual must be licensed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by the State of Montana.
One year of clinical nutrition and counseling experience.
Experience working with eating disorders and disordered eating.

Experience working from a Health at Every Size framework with competency in intuitive eating principles and mindfulness.
Strong counseling skills with experience using motivational interviewing and other evidenced based counseling strategies
Strong communication skills and experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team
Demonstrated competency with multicultural and other diverse populations.
Experience working with college students and young adults.
Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist
