Bozeman Health Endoscopy Technician Certified (casual call) in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
The Endoscopy Technician Certified is imperative to increasing efficiency, productivity, and patient and team satisfaction. Responsible for room turnover, assisting in the opening of supplies onto the sterile field, and patient care as delegated by the RN, CST, and/or the provider. Additional responsibilities include patient transports, supply management, test and validation of anesthesia machine circuits between cases, and other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
American Heart Association BLS
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), EMT, CNA, Surgical Technologist, or health care-related certifications
Preferred: College courses related to health care (e.g. medical terminology)
Preferred: Patient care work experience
Essential Job Functions:
Completes timely and accurate room turnovers
Cleans operating rooms after endoscopic procedures
Sets up the procedure room and checks instruments, supplies, equipment, and solutions needed for the procedure
Passes instruments, etc. to provider during a procedure.
Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
Performs appropriate counts and specimen verification with circulator during the procedure and as appropriate intervals
Transports patients safely between rooms and between beds.
Maintains appropriate supplies and orders as needed.
Performs other tasks as assigned

Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines
Works varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed
