This position exists for the purpose of maintaining a clean, sanitary patient environment for each assigned area.
High School diploma or equivalent
LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
1-2 years experience
KNOWLEDGE OF, SKILLS IN, ABILITY TO, COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULY:
Personal computers, hardware and basic software programs including e-mails, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Basics of Cleaning
Proper Equipment Use and Care
Proper procedures for mixing chemical solutions safely and accurately
Organizing and prioritizing work assignments to completion
Oral and written communication
Refer to policy manual for specific instructions/guidelines. Follow established policies and procedures.
Adhere to standards of the job descriptionand overall philosophy of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY:
Maintains flexibility in adapting to a variety of workload assignments.
Must be able to be flexible in work schedule.
Evening shift and MOB positions require the ability to work largely unsupervised.
Dayshift and hospital side positions have significant interaction with patients, visitors, physicians and staff from other departments.
15% time spent - Thoroughly cleans all surfaces daily.
5% time spent - Checks and restocks all paper product dispensers daily.
5% time spent - Empties and cleans wastebaskets daily
10% time spent - Dry and damp mops floors in assigned areas daily.
10% time spent - Vacuums areas of responsibility daily.
10% time spent - Cleans showers and bathrooms daily.
5% time spent - Removes garbage in assigned areas daily.
5% time spent - Delivers and picks up linen as needed.
10% time spent - Cleans all non-patient areas daily or as needed.
5% time spent - Cleans linen rooms as needed.
20% time spent - Maintains a good relationship with co-workers, other departments, physicians, physician Staff, patients, visitors and other members of the public.
Communicates effectively verbally or in writing, by phone or face to face.
Maintains or assists in maintaining the department inventory of supplies and equipment.
Utilizes proper body mechanics.
Uses proper safety equipment and signs when needed.
Utilizes proper physical safety skills in preventing physical injury.
Complies with policies and procedures of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Supports and practices the “Commitments to a Culture of Excellence.”
Maintains a responsible attitude toward Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, the Environmental Services Department and all patients, visitors and staff.
