Duties and Responsibilities
The MilTech Field Engineer will interact and coordinate with MilTech staff and its customers in order to satisfy project and customer requirements, including the following:
Determine/participate in developing strategies and action plans based on customer project requirements, including identifying and managing third party experts.
Help oversee, and manage project schedules, coordinating with the MilTech Operations team, Solutions Engineers, other Field Engineers, and other government and civilian partners.
Execute on project action plans/items and effectively communicate requirements to key stakeholders as required by MilTech Engineers and Operations Team.
Communicate effectively with customers, staff, and third party providers to procure the necessary supplies, goods, and services in accordance with applicable State and Federal guidelines to ensure successful delivery of MilTech projects.
Oversee the project tracking and reporting processes.
Oversee the monthly revenue and expense allocation reports and ensure they are to the appropriate project index and ensure they are properly communicated/delivered to the customer as needed.
Write and review reports and presentations including project impact assessments.
Act as a resource back to MilTech’s operational team when we receive inquiries for information and/or as issues arise with our customers.
Travel to support projects as needed.
Comply at all times with the MilTech Confidentiality Agreement governing non-disclosure of information encountered in the course of your duties, and the MilTech Technology Control Plan governing security and work controls. Both agreements will be signed by each employee and will remain in effect for the duration of MilTech employment.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Significant, direct experience working with a variety of manufacturing or business processes
Demonstrated experience with the application of business and manufacturing improvement tools and techniques
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated project management skills including:
Project management techniques and software application
Identification and management of resources
Presentation of project status
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge / experience with Department of Defense programs
Demonstrated experience with technology commercialization
Relevant, direct supply chain experience

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information
This position is contingent upon continued grant funding. A remote location may be agreed upon, depending on experience, facility (such as office location), location suitability to meet mission requirements, and other factors.
Successful candidate must be able to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws, which may require proof that candidate is a U.S. person. Per 22 CFR §120.15, U.S. person means a person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
This position may require the ability to obtain a Security Clearance, pass the Department of Homeland Security ( DHS ) Suitability requirements to obtain DHS security credentials, and/or meet other government-defined restrictions appropriate for work level and access. Other security-related requirements requirements will include receiving favorable background checks by state and federal agencies pursuant to federal law and regulations.
This position requires ability to travel when necessary to interact with DOD and/or DHS customers, including travel throughout the Continental United States as well as Alaska, Hawaii, U.S territories and possessions, and possibly other worldwide locations.
