HAVEN Legal Advocate (Trafficking) in BOZEMAN, Montana

Provide crisis intervention, followup, emotional support, advocacy, information and referrals to Haven participants and those who are or have experienced human trafficking; Assist participants with petitioning for temporary and permanent orders of protection;Provide hearing preparation and safety planning for participants;Provide support by accompanying participants to hearings and other relevant legal proceedings;Once trained and partially accredited by the Dept of Justice, assist immigrant survivors of violence with filing petitions, visas, etc.Provide support to Gallatin County's anti-human trafficking task force including but not limited to community education;Chair the Protection sub-committee which includes organizing logistics, recording minutes, communications, agendas, recruitment, and survivor support;Providing floating support to the shelter as needed;Interagency networking, data collection, meeting attendance and financial reportingMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experienceKnowledge in the fields of domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, harassment, and/or stalkingProficient in MS Office Suite and GSuite programsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDriver's license, reliable car, and auto insuranceHighly organized, accurate, flexible, innovative, and positive attitudeAbility to make independent decisions under high-stress conditionsAbility to empathize with individuals from diverse backgrounds and culturesAbility to adapt and cope with high-stress conditionsMust have integrity and self-initiativeWillingness to offer all HAVEN services through trauma-informed empowerment model(This is job description does not include Preferred qualifications or training requirements)
