Bozeman Health PHARMACIST in Bozeman, Montana
Supervises, monitors, trains pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns, pharmacy students, and pharmacy clerks. Able to function as a compentent Outpatient Pharmacist in all aspects of a Pharmacist's legal and ethical duties.
Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
Current Montana Pharmacist licensure. Current CPR and Immunization Certificates.
Retail and Clinical Pharmacy experience.
KNOWLEDGE OF, SKILLS IN, ABILITY TO, COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULY:
Personal computers, hardware and basic software programs including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets and clinical research.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Staff supervision, evaluation and development.
Budget process, Drug information and research, clinical monitoring, computers and computer programs.
Clinical skills required for Clinical Pharmacy Services as required.
Refer to policy manual for specific guidelines/instructions.
Follow established policies and procedures.
Adhere to the standards of the job description and overall philosophy of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Maintain flexibility to adapt to a variety of workload assignments.
Be able to work under stressful situations and multitask when needed.
COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY:
Work independently with a minimum of supervision and oversight.
35% Time Spent - Adheres to the standards of Pharmacy Practice as defined at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Demonstrates knowledge and judgment to meet patient medication needs as defined by physician. Interacts with other health care providers with professionalism. Provides accurate and relevent drug information. Maintains accuracy in dispensing of prescription and OTC medications.
15% Time spent - Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills in daily activity according to assigned schedule. Organizes and completes pharmacy prescription order processing. Organizes time to accomadate non-distributive activities.
25% Time Spent - Responsible for all areas of Outpatient Pharmacy functions. Manages pharmacy workflow to maximize efficiency and patient safety. Fills all prescriptions accurately and closely supervises technicians, clerks, interns, and students. Accurately checks and verifies prescriptions processed and filled by technicians, interns and students. Maintains inventory control. Responds immediately to Pharmacist intense phone request.
15% Time spent - Demonstrates competent knowledge and skills of Pharmacy software and clinical software systems. Performs and verifies all data entry as required by law. Recognizes technical qualites of hardware and software and follows extreme guidelines.
