Williams Plumbing / Civil Construction Plumbing Assistant Project Manager in Bozeman, Montana

Are you ready to jumpstart your career in project management with the largest design-build plumbing and mechanical contractor in the Northwest? As a Assistant Project Manager at Williams (https://willplumb.com/) , you'll work closely with our Project Managers to keep projects (https://willplumb.com/projects/plumbing/) on track and ensure we deliver excellent work to clients, all while taking on some of the toughest challenges in the industry. The Assistant Project Manager is an entry level position for a career in Project Management. This role provides administrative support with all aspects of the project from bidding through completion.

The Work You'll Do:

  • Paperwork: Includes documentation of work orders, purchase orders, daily reports, RFI’s, billing documents, printing drawings, communication with the design team, general contractors and subcontractors.

  • Organization: Includes knowing the job at hand. You must know what the contract, specification book, submittals, addendums, RFI’s, and budget. Once you know the job at hand, organize the material, manpower, and all factors that it takes to complete the job.

  • Communication: Includes three major parts: the employees, the GC/Subcontractors, and the Design teams. All parties must maintain a constant line of communication with the field.

  • Support: Includes making yourself available to the Superintendents and Foreman, so that their questions can be answered in a timely manner and not effect job production.

  • Public Relations: Include maintaining relationships with the Owner, GC, and Design team to ensure opportunities on future projects.

  • Travel expected for this position includes travel to construction job sites as assigned (Bozeman & Big Sky).

    What You Bring:

  • Pursue or possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field of study.

  • 0-2 years experience in construction or related field, and/or general business experience.

  • Will consider field experience in place of formal education.

  • Overall knowledge of the Mechanical trade
