Oracle Pre-Sales Cloud Architect in Bozeman, Montana
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Position Overview
Oracle Cloud Architects bridge the gap between business and technology – speaking the value language of business and technology with Clevel individuals. They combine a deep understanding of technology and architectural patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives of our customers.
As an Oracle Cloud Architect you will be responsible for leading assigned customer engagements to formulate key strategies/goals for improving business efficiencies using a consultative approach for Information Management strategy. This will include assessing the organization’s business process maturity, gaps and recommending improvements to meet the business goals aligned with the capabilities of Oracle’s technology portfolio. In this role you will be responsible for working closely with Oracle Sales to develop new business as well as to position Oracle Solutions to solve complex problems within the U.S. Federal market with an emphasis on solutions based on Oracle Public Cloud Services. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Oracle technology solutions including Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle’s IaaS and PaaS Cloud solutions.
Ideal Candidates will be seasoned senior level professionals who not only possess deep experience with IT transformation but also significant experience in cloud. Also a strong understanding and practical experience in planning and delivering cloud migration projects from traditional on premise deployment models would be beneficial.
OBJECTIVES
Interact with all roles at a customer – including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, technical staff and line of business leaders
Provide technical leadership as part of a sales team on specific opportunities designed to increase Oracle revenue through Cloud subscriptions
Develop and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions
Demonstrate the credibility of Oracle's Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) Technology Solutions at all levels within an organization
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support as a Cloud Architect to one or more Cloud Account Sales Executives to identify the best Oracle Cloud solution for their customer's business needs and to position Oracle’s Cloud Strategy and Solutions as key differentiator in sales cycles
Understand the needs and pains of the customer and then link them to a set of products/solutions provided by Oracle
Building and maintaining trusted relationships with the customers
Participate as a member of a diverse team in order to address high-profile sales engagements from a pre-sales point of view
Define infrastructure architectures and solution proposals, using Value Selling techniques
Design, plan and deliver Solution Presentations, Demonstrations, Proofs of Concept and Benchmarks
Contribute technical responses for Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
7 years of experience in consulting/design/implementation with Oracle Data Management technologies, Infrastructure, Fusion Middleware, Database, Data Security, and Cloud Solutions
3 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
BS in Computer Science or Information Management or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to travel as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the Cloud
Communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives (up to C-level), IT Management, and technical staff
Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication
Ability to map enterprise requirements to solution and technical architectures that deliver expected business benefits
Cloud certification is highly desirable
Knowledge of wide-area and datacenter networking design, protocols, and implementation preferred
Knowledge of IT market and trends
Knowledge of full Oracle stack including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Gen2
Knowledge of Cloud competitors including AWS, Azure and/or Google
