Bozeman Health System Director of Infrastructure & Technology (Onsite Only) in Bozeman, Montana

This is an onsite position in Bozeman, MT.

Position Summary:

The System Director of Infrastructure & Technology is responsible for overseeing and managing the IT infrastructure and operations for the organization. Overtight includes managing the technology systems, networks, servers, storage, and software used in the organization. Effectively manages daily operations of the Bozeman Health’s Information Technology and PACS departments that includes data center operations, technical services, desktop, engineering, network operations and help desk. Directs and approves the design of security systems and ensures that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested. Reviews investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysts and recommendations to avoid future incidents. Maintains a current understanding of threats and translates that knowledge into identifying risks and producing actionable plans to protect the business. Updates the cyber security strategy and keeps management updated on status and risks. C ollaborating closely with the Chief Information Officer and other IT leadership to execute the technology roadmap in alignment with the overall strategic plan, the System Director will work hands-on with staff as needed to get the job done in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or 15 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry

  • Ten (10) years of related experience with a majority of those years in an IT leadership role

  • Strong working knowledge of Information Technology and Information Systems

  • Preferred: Certification in one or more of the following: ITIL, Project Management, Process Improvement Methods, CISSP, hardware and software asset management

Essential Job Functions:

  • Directs broad operations to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and healthcare system requirements.

  • Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.

  • Establishes a working relationship with other department directors and senior leaders, collaborating on new technology needs or expanded uses for existing technology to increase functionality, efficiency, and staff satisfaction.

  • Develops and executes IT security strategies that enhance and bolster the reliability and security of the IT infrastructure, systems, and projects.

  • Provides general supervision of the IT department or function assigned; ensures the performance of direct report personnel, services, and/or technology; Conducts employee annual performance evaluations and staff supervision.

  • Standard office equipment and computer applications; MS Office, EMR, internet applications etc.

  • Ability to work varied shifts
