Bozeman Health System Manager Third Party Applications in Bozeman, Montana

Full-Time, 1 FTE

Position Summary:

The System Manager of Applications will have oversight for the supervision of our third-party applications and the team supporting those applications. This role is responsible for independently formulating and implementing solutions to respond to and resolve customer requests, issues, and problems, while meeting the changing demands and priorities of the health system and the third-party environments. This role will coordinate issues within its teams and escalate as appropriate. The System Manager Applications is expected to be involved in not only the install planning, but also the long-term support of third-party applications and will need to be able to effectively delegate projects and tasks to the team. This role will manage the team resources to ensure analysis of workflows is in-depth, data collection is thorough, report details are adequate, and other technical requirements required are achieved to ensure end user needs are met. This role will also facilitate the development and documentation of internal procedures and follow system standards related to workflow analysis, system specifications generation, proof of concept validation and sign off, system configuration, application and integrated testing, change control, training, and implementations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years’ experience in implementations or experience with implementing and supporting large integrated systems in a healthcare organization

  • Five years’ supervisory experience

  • Seven years’ of progressive, relevant experience (healthcare or IT)

  • Experience as an Applications or Systems Analyst

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or healthcare administration or equivalent work experience (4+ years)

  • Preferred: Current certification (Epic, HL7, Project Management, or ITIL)

  • Directs broad operations to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and healthcare system requirements.

  • Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to operational planning, care/service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.

  • Coordinates and assists with oversight of departmental services. Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance. Provides direct spiritual care for patients and families consistent with their cultural, spiritual, personal values, preferences, and beliefs.

  • Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources.

  • Demonstrates clinical/technical and managerial competency.

  • Leads, teaches, inspires, helps and consistently demonstrates healthcare system behavioral standards.

  • Strong leadership managerial skills; ability to plan, delegate, monitor and improve work performance

  • Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times

  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making

  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
