Acadia Healthcare Therapist in Bozeman, Montana

Description

This position requires that you direct therapeutic activities, individual, family and group therapy. Additionally, you will plan, implement and direct treatment while working in partnership with an assigned Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) as well as the school staff at the assigned program. The assignment is based on the district's decision to contract for services and is reviewed annually.

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social work or related counseling field from as accredited Master’s program. Minimum Candidates License Required for LCSW, LPC or LCPC in Montana at time of application. Must have good recommendation and satisfactory work record from previous employer. A minimum of two (2) years experience in the area of child and/or adolescent mental health is preferred, along with a thorough knowledge of seriously emotionally disturbed youth. A thorough understanding of intervention techniques in working with children and families as well as regulatory requirements and Montana laws regarding working with SED youth. A basic knowledge of educational, psychological and social work systems as related to special education and the school environment. Must have knowledge of behavioral contingency management.
