Salary: $16.32/ Hour

Provide technical/professional accounting work for major fund groups used by the University
Provide accounting-related advice and assistance to departments, school and college fiscal staff.
Reconcile all bank deposits to Banner Finance, SABHRS and the State Treasury.
Reconcile credit card bank account.
Reconcile revolving checking account.
Responsible for reconciling analyzing and summarizing data and drawing conclusions for superiors to assure compliance with University and State accounting policies and procedures for various transactions and to help ensure the integrity of recorded financial data.
Responsible for the accurate and efficient flow of incoming SABHRS wire transactions within Banner Finance and all web payments.
Financial Aid accounting. (Federal drawdowns, monitor cash balances, etc.)
Manage and oversee parking decal and parking ticket database.
Assist with 1098T processes ? formatting, testing and review
Backup to the lead cashier and assist during busy times.
Data entry backup for student accounts services staff
Conduct research and produce accurate records and reports regarding student accounts
Reconciliation of campus wide cash deposits with BANNER
Business Office website updates (tuition and fee schedules, etc.)
Printing and folding accounts payable and student refund checks.
State warrant replacement requests
Assist students and parents to resolve issues and questions regarding student accounts.
Assist faculty and staff with questions on financial transactions.
Assist students, faculty and staff at the front counter.
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and experience in professional principles and practices of accounting and departmental procedures
Ability to develop and implement accounting procedures; analyze and interpret accounting information; identify and solve accounting problems; compile, interpret, review and communicate financial transactions to a variety of individuals
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple and complex tasks with the highest degree of accuracy
Ability to work independently and efficiently with frequent interruptions
High degree of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook; Ability to operate standard office equipment (10 key, copier, fax)
Understanding of relational databases and how they work, this includes the ability to create ad hoc queries/reports from the underlying tables and data structures
Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with internal and external customers daily
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Accounting or related field
Knowledge of The State of Montana and University System policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Banner Student and/or Banner Finance.
