Montana Technological University Assistant or Associate Professor of Mining Engineering in Butte, Montana
Duties:Teach a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate mining courses ranging from introduction to mining to advanced mine design. Development of a research program is expected. Responsibilities also include student advising, recruiting, service, and industry relations.Required Qualifications:•Doctoral degree in Mining Engineering or related Engineering discipline by position start date Or MS degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of 5 years of industrial experiencePreferred Qualifications:•Prior college teaching experience•Relevant work experience in the mining or related industries•Excellence in written/oral communication skills•MSHA approved instructor or the ability to become one•Have a P.E. license, or ability to obtain a Montana P.E. license within three years of hirePhysical Demands•An ability to carry 30# up a flight of stairs
