Hourly Rate:  $19.681

Duties:

Manage the on-campus Career Services for students; resume, cover letter and interview feedback, attention to detail, and making connections, table all student campus events like club rush and tech day, student outreach, presentations in class about career services, manage the career closet; provide advice, counsel and prepare students to enter the work world, coordinate with various university stakeholders. Process and assist with collection of graduate and internship data. Contribute to the operation of a busy on-campus office.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent customer Service and relationship building skills with diverse groups of individuals

  • Demonstrated ability to be attentive to detail

  • Proven organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Ability to establish appropriate priorities and multitask with a high degree of accuracy

  • Demonstrated effective public relations, interpersonal, listening, and communication skills

  • Strong writing, verbal and analytical skills, public speaking and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in the use of office computers and related software (MS Office); familiarity with web-based software and ability to learn and use technology

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience coordinating and organizing special events and meetings

  • Experience working on a college campus

  • Professional office practices and procedures experience

  • Workforce development experience

  • Experience critiquing resume and cover letter preparation, as well as job search and interviewing procedures.
