TLC FARMS, INC. Ag Equipment Operator in CHINOOK, Montana
Temporary full time from 2/15/2025 to 11/1/2025 Agricultural employee is required to work with many different types of farm machinery for soil preparation, crop planting and harvesting. Worker will be required to drive and control farm equipment to till soil, seed/plant, fertilize, spray pesticides, cultivate and harvest small grain crops, peas and lentils. Employee is required to maintain and make minor repairs of the equipment they operate. Mechanical skills and experience are required to use equipment necessary to perform the tasks above. Worker will be required to perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on farm equipment; welding experience is required. The worker is also required to attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, sprayer, or harvester, to tractor, using mechanic?s hand tools; load and unload grain truck manually or using hand truck, loader, or transfer auger; weigh grain filled containers and record weights; and clean out grain bins. Minimal fencing will be required along with facility and grounds maintenance. To work as an agricultural equipment operator requires physical coordination, decision-making ability, mechanical aptitude and driving skills. The ability to listen to and follow verbal directions is imperative. The job entails working outdoors in all types of weather (extreme heat, cold, wind dust, rain and snow). Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Worker is required to have a current driver?s license. Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges).Repetitive duties to be completed on a regular/daily basis include: a. Mechanics and upkeep of farm equipment b. Mechanics shop kept in working order c. Preparing and storing equipment used in fieldwork d. Field work (includes all phases of field preparation, spraying, harvest, irrigation) e. Communicate with employer using business radio of cell phone f. Duties as assigned daily Drivers license required, 3 months experience is required. Long/odd hours with split shifts required during harvest and seeding. Increased wages/bonus may be possible depending on experience.
