COWAN & SON Livestock/Ranch Worker in CHINOOK, Montana
Temporary full time position from 3/1/2025 to 10/31/2025 Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of cattle. General Farm/Ranch Work will include the following responsibilities: trim and clear brush using chain saws and hand tools, hand stack debris for removal; maintain and make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm/ranch machinery; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); remove undesirable and excess growth from pastures or farm/ranch grounds; paint/repair farm/ranch structures; maintain/repair fencing; perform general cleanup of farm/ranch areas; drive, load/unload farm trucks on, or between, farm worksites; operate all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties, workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers. Duties related to the Production of Livestock will include the following: examine animals to determine delivery time, assist in delivery; feed/water livestock; load/unload feed trucks by hand; load/unload/stack baled hay by hand; manually clean/disinfect livestock corrals/stalls/sheds; dock, castrate, brand, clip/tag, vaccinate and clamp livestock.
