MCCONE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE Deputy Sheriff in CIRCLE, Montana
McCone County Sheriff's Office is hiring a Full-time Deputy Sheriff in Circle, MT.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have or be able to acquire a current MLEA (MT Law Enforcement Academy) POST Basic Certification, CPR & First Responder Certification within one year. Note: McCone County will pay for the POST training with a contract to the county of three years.
- Must be able to pass medical/mental evaluations and a rigorous background investigation.
- Candidate should live in McCone County or be able to relocate within 30 days of hire.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to communicate orally & in writing
- Ability to pursue offenders on foot or in a vehicle
- Restrain an adult; carry or drag adult weight
- Qualify with firearms
- Drive a patrol vehicle
- Handle distress calls
- Perform limited medical procedures
- Operate police equipment
- Maintain accurate records
- Type & operate office machines including computer
- Prepare reports
- Testify in court.
JOB SUMMARY:
Will work an assigned rotational schedule, which includes holidays, weekends & nights & on-call for emergencies. Will spend hours in patrol vehicle & may travel in adverse road conditions. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
- Pay will depend on experience.
