Reporting to the Crusher Foreman, the Crusher Operator is responsible for operating the crusher and managing material processing. This position requires extended periods of travel to various locations within 200 miles of Columbia Falls, MT.
The responsibilities of the Crusher Operator include, but are not limited to:
Safe and efficient operation of portable cone and jaw crushers, conveyors, feeders and screening plants.
Managing aggregate material production to ensure a quality product that meets specifications is produced.
Shoveling and operation of skid steer is required to remove built up material around conveyors.
Ensuring a tidy job-site is maintained.
Identifying mechanical failures and future preventive maintenance needs.
Understanding and following directions from supervisors.
Undertaking other construction related duties as required, such as assisting other employees working in the gravel pit or on the Crusher.
Assisting with cone liner change outs and crusher maintenance as required.

Wear appropriate protective equipment: steel toed boots, hard hats, ear and eye protection
Strong work ethic
Prior mechanical experience preferred.
Electrical knowledge of 110, 240 and 480 volt applications is preferred, but not required.
No High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, but preferred
Valid driver’s license and good MVR
Shifts are typically 8 – 10 hours, but work schedule is weather dependent, so flexibility is required
A willingness to work overtime, as required.

Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and cold, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
MSHA certification is required. Training will be provided if you don’t have this certification.
Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Compensation offered with this role will be based on work experience and capability
The successful applicant will be required to join or be a member of the Union of Operating Engineers
