The Pondera County Health Department protects and promotes the health of Pondera County citizens and the environment through the efforts of dedicated and skilled employees and application of sound public health principle. The Department?s role is to identify community health problems, diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community, and enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety. The mission of the Department is to prevent disease and illness, promote healthy choices and deliver quality health care. This position performs a variety of administrative, clerical and receptionist services directly related to the Pondera County Health Department and associated programs. This position provides assistance to the Pondera County Public Health professional staff with special projects and responding to information requests. Travel required along with some flexibility beyond normal business hours. Work Schedule: Pondera County Health Department is staffed Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is a part time position and the hours worked will be assigned by the Supervisor, the Pondera County Public Health Nurse. Changes to the work schedule may be required due to such factors as vacations, sickness, emergencies and other extenuating circumstances. Potentially this position may be required to work in excess of assigned shifts per budget period.Perform routine clerical and administrative work such as answering phones, referring messages, receiving the public, providing customer service, entering data and word processing in accordance with standard operational procedures in support of Pondera County Public Health Department functions and objectives.
