PONDERA MEDICAL CENTER Emergency Medical Technician in CONRAD, Montana

Responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies. Assists with patient care, based on individual patient needs, acts within the scope of practice of an EMT. Responds to emergency/non-emergency calls and transfers to provide efficient and immediate care to the ill and injured; and safely transports the patient to an appropriate medical facility. Maintains ambulance and equipment in proper, functioning condition and in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Assists and provides professional treatments and observations as directed for patient care in the Emergency department and within the hospital facility as continuation of care until transfer of care is completed. Education: High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a DOT-approved Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course required. One year of practical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician preferred. Other Qualifications/Certificate/License: National (NREMT) certification preferred. State of Montana EMT License required. Current BLS Certification is required. Current Montana State unrestricted driver's license and excellent driving record is required, EVOC certification within one year of employment date.
