CITY OF CONRAD Finance Officer in CONRAD, Montana

City of Conrad is actively seeking a full - time Finance Officer. Will work under the general supervision of the Mayor of Conrad. You will serve as the department Head of the City of Conrad's Treasury Department administering the routine and complex clerical, administrative, and finance duties. You will be responsible for the City's financial and accounting services including, but not limited to cash management, investments, taxes, assessments, accounts payable and receivable, revenue collections, grant application and preparation. Will exercise supervision and evaluations of the Administrative Clerk, the Billing/Office Clerk, and other staff as assigned. Must attend all meetings and provide technical support to the Mayor. Assumes the Clerk/Treasurer functions of the City and the Treasurer functions of the Tri-City Interlocal. Must be bondable, and obtain Notary Certification within 6 months of employment, be certified with the Certificate of Completion from the Montana Municipal Clerks, Treasurers, and Finance Officers Association Institute within 3 years . A BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business and 2 years of related experience are desired. Some travel will be required also. Some testing might be possible including 10-key, typing, and maybe excel.
