Qualifications:Completion of paramedic level training required. Minimum three years' full-time experience as a provider of pre-hospital care in an emergency setting. Paramedic experience in a two-tiered, non-transport ALS system is preferred; full-time experience must be within one year of date of application.Technical Skills:1. Strong analytical and organizational skills required.2. Ability to execute multiple tasks with minimal supervision.3. Able to handle stressful situations competently, effectively and courteously.4. Intermediate to advanced computer skills preferred.Other qualifications/certificate/license: Current State of Montana EMT-P registration; current certifications in CPR - American Heart Association Course C or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), American Heart Association and current motor vehicle operator's State license required.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Responsible for responding to requests for paramedic level services.2. Renders medical care at the scene and on the ambulance while in transit.3. Ambulance medication and supply restocking.4. Acting team leader when responding to emergencies.5. Participates in community activities that increase the public's understanding of EMS systems.6. Other duties as assigned.
