Embark Behavioral Health Assistant Residential Manager in Eureka, Montana

Responsible for managing, training and leading the Youth Mentors and Supervisors in his/her house. Makes decisions regarding scheduling, safety, and staffing

and is ultimately responsible for the care and supervision of the students in her/his house and performance of all residential staff in his/her house. Ensuring that parents feel

connected to Chysalis and receive updates about their student. Works closely with Residential Manager and learns all things the Rm knows.

  1. Achieve alignment with the Residential Manager on initiatives and goals for the house and program. Determine how the Assistant Residential Manager fits and impacts into those

initiatives and goals.

  1. Participate in their weekly meetings with their direct supervisor and work on growth books for staff development.

  2. Integrate Chrysalis culture, norms, and sustainable systems and processes for the longhaul (3-36 months).

  3. Voluntary Terminations are at 15% or less year over year.

  4. Restructure and adjust residential team as needed to improve team effectiveness.

  5. Quarterly performance evaluations delivered and implemented.

  6. Work in close collaboration with Adventure Manager to implement appropriate Residential/Adventure parameters and house consistency.

Key Treatment/Outcomes

  1. Ensure you understand and can follow through on implementation of client MTP's in addition to client interventions.

  2. Improve staff clinical knowledge by ensuring, at a minimum, monthly clinical trainings in collaboration with Residential Manager and/or Clinical/Assistant Clinical Director.

  3. Assist with quarterly chart audits to ensure charting is completed in a timely manner.

  4. Train and help report any/all incidents that occur during residential shifts. All incidents must be reported, recorded, and debriefed within 24hrs.

Key Parent/Customer/Reference

  1. Check in with parents via email or phone call weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or as needed on progress/development of residential therapy skills/breakthroughs, residential setting

participation, peer/staff relationships and boundaries.

  1. Check in with parents after student phone calls to ensure they are clear about their child's concerns if there are any.

  2. Provide professional hospitality to parents during family weeks, visit weeks and or other interactions.

Key Operations/Systems/Compliance

  1. Decrease operational safety metrics year after year at all times as best as possible (AWOL, self-harm, hospitalizations, adventure accidents, early pulls etc.) as determined in

conjunction with the Executive Director.

  1. Oversee progress/training management for new hires.

  2. Ensure student gear/personal belongings are logged, inventoried, and inspected upon admission or discharge.

  3. Able to run fire and safety drills effectively with their team.

  4. Able to give and receive positive and constructive feedback to not only direct team mates but their direct supervisor/Residential Manager as well.

Key Financial Outcomes

  1. Beat budget each month as defined by the Executive Director.

  2. Uphold department accountability for budget management.

  3. Identify and plan for future capital budget needs.

The position requires experience working with at risk youth, or post high school training in the field of mental health. Experience working at Chrysalis specifically is also required.

A Bachelors degree in a related field of study is preferred but not required.

Working conditions: Normal conditions of a typical residence with the absence of disagreeable elements. The position frequently requires staff to supervise and participate with the

students in the community and during recreational activities.
