Logan Health Physical Therapist - Eureka Rehabilitation in Eureka, Montana

Job Description Summary:

Provides professional physical therapist services in an outpatient clinical setting following guidelines as described in the Physical Therapy Practice Act.

This position comes with a $10,000 sign on bonus

Position Responsibilities

  • Provides assessment and evaluation to appropriate individuals as outlined in the Physical Therapy Practice Act.

  • Administer and interpret tests and measurements to identify areas of services.

  • Develops a plan of treatment consistent with the evaluation. This must include a treatment schedule including frequency and duration and type of treatment.

  • Documents evaluation within 24 hours of the initial visit.

  • Communicates in a timely manner with all concerned parties within the limits of patient confidentiality.

  • Provides purposeful activity and interventions to appropriate individual consistent with the Plan of Care.

  • Employs appropriate activity and interventions.

  • Changes and updates the Treatment Plan as determined by the individual's progress.

  • Documents daily on each treatment.

  • Assists office personnel with scheduling, evaluations and treatments to ensure patient compliance and treatment consistency.

  • Charges for each treatment daily that is consistent with treatment documentation.

  • Determines appropriate time to discharge individuals from Physical Therapy services.

  • Reviews patient logs on a monthly basis to ensure appropriate discharge.

  • Participates as an active member of the Rehab Department.

  • Attends department meetings.

  • Assists in development of new programs.

  • Assists in providing public education programs.

  • Assists the office personnel with answering phones and making appointments as necessary.

  • Works cooperatively with other department therapist(s) to share supervisory roles.

  • Promotes safe work habits.

  • Practices Standard Precautions; i.e., good handwashing and use of gloves when in contact with bodily substances.

  • Cleans whirlpool and other equipment in contact with bodily substances.

  • Reports malfunctioning equipment.

  • Utilizes correct body mechanics and assistive devices for all lifting, transfers and ambulation training.

  • Maintain a positive work environment throughout communications to problem solving.

  • Communicates in an understanding and diplomatic way with family, peers and supervisors.

  • Problem solves by pursuing proper chain of command.

  • Evaluates suggestions and criticism objectively and understands measures to change behavior or utilize resources when appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintains awareness and understands the organization-wide compliance plan. Familiar with and adheres to LHW's published Code of Conduct which provides guidance and expectations regarding confidentiality, conflict of interest, billing, controlled substances, Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), payments for referrals, gifts, anti-kickback laws, safety and health, waste disposal, and compliance with antitrust laws, advertising and marketing, discrimination, insider trading and government requests.

  • Reports any violation or suspected violation of this Code or other hospital policies or procedures to supervisor, Compliance Officer or through the compliance hotline.

  • Attends and/or completes mandatory training regarding organizational compliance.

Education and Experience Required

Requires: Current Montana Physical Therapy license. Current AHA BLS Certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire.

Desire: Outpatient/orthopedic/manual skills

Shift:

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule Details:

Please know schedules and shifts are subject to change based on patient care and department/organizational needs.

Logan Health Rehabilitation operates from 8-5 (with options for appointments before and after these times), Monday-Friday. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
