CITY OF FORT BENTON Probationary Police Officer in FORT BENTON, Montana

Seeking applications for a full-time Probationary Police Officer. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must meet all minimum State standards to work as a Peace Officer in Montana. Wage: $2,699.77-$3,373.96/month, DOE. Benefits: Health Insurance/Vacation/Sick Leave. A POST certified individual is preferred but not required. Non-Certified will be required to complete the Montana Law Enforcement Academy w/n 1 year of hire. Duties: perform duties of a Law Enforcement Officer to include but not limited to: enforce all local, state and federal laws; protect life and property; serve warrants as directed; appear in court to testify in criminal proceedings. Must be capable of conducting major criminal investigations and general duties w/ minimal assistance and supervision. Will be assigned on-call times. Work closely w/ the community and other Law Enforcement Agencies. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent; good moral character, never convicted of a felony; clean driving record. Applicants must be examined by a licensed Physician and be pronounced in good physical/mental condition. Essential functions: frequently requires strenuous physical activity and the ability to work changing shifts during adverse weather conditions.
