U.S. Army Corps of Engineers FACILITY SERVICES ASSISTANT in Fort Peck, Montana

Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Fort Peck Project is located in northeastern Montana on the Missouri River about 17 miles southeast of Glasgow, Montana. The Project encompasses Fort Peck Dam and Lake and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facilities. Responsibilities Organizes, compiles all pertinent information, assures accuracy, and enters data and updates for each piece of equipment into the maintenance system. Reviews and analyzes summaries and printouts to check, verify, and correct data. Answers inquiries about work order status, equipment maintenance history, trouble reports, and other preventive maintenance questions. Deals with the supervisor and managers to obtain resources, information and decisions. Ensures critical information regarding maintenance on the piece of equipment is documented in the maintenance system, and attached to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) or corrective work order. Monitors Maintenance Backlog, Deferred Maintenance, 60 days Preventative Maintenance Outlook and provides reports to be utilized in short and long range maintenance scheduling. Ensures proper work order hierarchy exists to track both planned and expended labor and materials at the crew level as well as the overall job level. Serves as Project FEMS Application Specialist on the various functions and features of computer hardware/software, FEMS/MAXIMO system, and other related data maintenance matters. Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes experience working with both hardware and software for data entry and creating/using spreadsheets; and experience working with a computerized maintenance management system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Specialized Experience for GS-08: One year of specialized experience which includes experience working with both hardware and software for data entry and creating/using spreadsheets; and Monitors and clears errors using the computerized maintenance management system to ensure that purchase process and documentation data flows smoothly. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Specialized Experience for GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes experience utilizing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to provide system control, oversight, repair history, analysis and quality of the data entered; and Compiles, prepares and generates various reports to use in determining future manpower requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
