Pursuit - Glacier Park Collection HOSPITALITY INTERNSHIP (GLACIER NP) in Glacier National Park, Montana

What will you do in this job?

  • Learn from our team of dedicated hospitality professionals

  • Receive training, supervision and hands-on opportunities to develop a full range of guest service skills in a rotation of roles

  • Receive mentorship, support and feedback

  • Front Desk: register and assign rooms to guests, maintaining knowledge of availability for walk-in guests; offer guests information about available services, points of interest in the park and surrounding area, and entertainment options

  • Housekeeping: Ensures that cleaning and sanitizing of rooms and common areas in hotels, lodges and cabins, including bathrooms, beds, desks, kitchenettes, floors and surfaces is completed thoroughly and on time; helps lead team of cleaning gurus

  • Food & Beverage: greet and attend to guests in a friendly and welcoming manner; clear and reset tables as needed and keep tables neat and clean throughout service; assist service staff as necessary with delivery of food or beverages; assist as needed with set up of rooms for special events, meetings, conferences and banquets

  • Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to supervisor

  • Offer assistance to guests and teammates where needed

  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited hospitality or tourism program

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required

  • Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team

  • Be committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards

  • Be organized with a great eye for detail

  • Be kind to others and always bring your best

  • Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions

  • Be helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile

  • Be relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls

  • Be ready to have fun!
