DAWSON COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER Activities Assistant in GLENDIVE, Montana
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The job requires education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, software use, working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing. Two (2) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of related education and experience. Two (2) years of experience in fundraising, and event planning is preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Montana driver's license and pass a background check. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation. Handle logistics to make the event possible, such as making phone calls, advertising, managing inventory and budgets, training and motivating volunteers or employees, and coordinating transportation ensuring that events are well-provisioned and that the event takes place on time and within or below budget. *Plan and facilitate fundraising activities and events that supports the center and its operations. *Assist in the daily operations of the Center during the director's absence. *Keep records regarding event planning resources, participant interest, and other notable information. *Perform a variety of administrative duties in support of the Center's director. *Perform other duties as assigned. Will work part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Starting wage is $15.61 per hour; plus prorated benefits, which include: health insurance, optional vision/dental, life insurance, sick leave, vacation leave, paid holidays and Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) with matching contribution.
