Department: Compliance & Pipeline Integrity Location: Glendive, MT Hiring Manager: Brian R McDanold Closing Date: 09/21/2020 at 11:59pm CDT Job Type: Full-Time Entry Level: $22.69/$25.96 - $28.37/$32.45 /hour Position is eligible for Employee Referral Program. Job Summary: Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Performs a variety of technical duties in the area of Cathodic Protection (CP) and if applicable offer support to staff engineers/supervisors. Performs CP testing, design and Pipeline Integrity related assessments. Performs field operations and maintenance of cathodic protection and corrosion control systems. Minimum Qualifications: Corrosion Technician I:
High school diploma/GED and one year of CP experience; or two-year technical degree; or two years of post-high school training from an approved math or science/technical trade school.

Corrosion Technician II:
NACE CP level 1 or NACE Corrosion Technician certification and two years corrosion mitigation experience. Additional Requirements *Requires extensive travel (50% +).
*Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
Key Skills & Competencies *Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Good oral and written communication skills.
*Proficient in operation and use of personal computers and commercially available software.
*Strong organization skills with demonstrated proficiency in documentation.
*Ability to effectively interact with others and work in a team environment.
*Ability to understand shunts and their use in rectifiers, bonds, and anodes; reference cells, their maintenance, use, and precautions; and polarity related to current flow and metal corrosion.

Corrosion Technician II in addition to above:
*Ability to lead projects and teams.

Preferred Qualifications Corrosion Technician I:
NACE CP level 1 or NACE Corrosion Technician certification.

Corrosion Technician II:
Associate degree in technical related field.
